ColorVu is a technology by Hikvision that enables a camera to produce full-color video 24/7, even in low light, rather than switching to black-and-white.
It uses a large aperture (e.g. F1.0) + sensitive sensors + (in some versions) supplemental lighting (warm white LED or “smart light”) to maintain color in low light.
